What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 Today, I had PT at 3 pm. So, first thing today, I cleaned. I got the kitchen cleaned and in order, vacuumed the house, and worked on laundry. 

Then I went out for a walk. Once all that was done, Patrick came home from golfing. I played on my tablet for a bit and then had to head over to the church to pick up 3 quilts that were ready. Once all that was done, I headed to moms. Dropped the 3 quilts off with her and Debbie's quilt to see what we could do. Mom was going to ...

 This morning, I was up before hubby. That's unusual. But was nice for once. 

I had my war game at noon and then back at 4:30 pm. So, I wanted to get some work done downstairs in the meantime. It was time to get back to my quilt tops. 

I had to trim some of the side borders. It wouldn't fit the blocks that go in the corners. I had to take a break when I was to this point. 

Came back downstairs and found that I had to take this apart and cut a longer piece ...

This morning, Patrick was golfing. I was able to sleep a little bit. Then I got up and ordered some sugar cookie cutters, squeeze bottles, and some different size cookie rollers. I will be ready for sugar cookies and want to be "professional" with the designs. LOL - good luck with that!

Then I vacuumed and did laundry. Woo-Hoo! Once all that was done, I played till about 2 pm. Then headed downstairs to get some backing and batting done to take a couple quilts to Colleen tomorrow. 

This morning, I waited till about 10:45 am to get moving. I didn't realize till after I left that I was an hour earlier than I wanted to be. I got the times messed up. My first stop was at Safeway for the nicotine patch; to find out they didn't carry them. Then I stopped at CVS and was able to get the correct patch that mom needed. Next on the list was the museum. I needed up waiting for a while to see if Chip could answer a couple questions for me. Yes, we will have ...

Today, I was able to sleep a little bit, but was surprised Patrick was up since we usually sleep in on Saturdays. Not today. Even I didn't sleep as late as I usually do. 

I played my games, then Debbie came over to show me her quilt with her grandson's photos. It's really cool. Then I was back on the games. 

After supper I called mom again. When I tried earlier in the morning, she wasn't up. It took till 10:30 before she was up. She said she didn't sleep very well last night ...

This morning, I actually slept in. I was surprised at how long I slept, but it felt good. 

Then I asked Patrick to heat up the fire downstairs. He had an appointment in Olympia this afternoon, and I decided since I don't go in with him, I would stay home and try to get a couple quilts done.

This morning, Patrick went golfing. About the time he got home, I was heading out to the museum and then my physical therapist appointment. 

Met Debbie at the museum and we put the quilts that are done in the stacks. We found 2 of our quilts in the wrong spot. So, we need to let everyone know not to mess with the quilts there. Sam said she would pay attention if she sees a quilt go out of the storage room.  They were giving out turkey's to the veterans that could need one. I called Patrick to let him ...

This morning, I was all ready to go to the grange for the last time to visit with Gerilyn. About an hour before I needed to leave, she called to say she has strep throat. So, I ended up cancelling the meeting. She's looking forward to meeting at moms, and it will make it easier for her mother to join us as well. 

Since Patrick wasn't going golfing (would start till 10 am because of the cold weather) and I couldn't go to the meeting, we headed up to Olympia for our blood tests. I had to ...

This morning, I was up and ready for quilters. I ended up waiting a little longer than I expected. We had a couple of them that couldn't make it, but we did get a new person. So, all in all it was a good time. 

Only 3 of them were sewing, the other 3 of us were cutting and ironing. 

This morning, I had to get moving. Was at moms by 9:20 am. We then headed up to Olympia. She needed to have her hearing aids checked. She was having trouble and wanted to get them check. We arrived at Costco, and they took her hearing aids to clean them and then check them. There was a lot of "stuff" in the hearing aids, so it just needed cleaned. We shopped while we waited. I needed to pick up a few things that we missed last week. Both mom and I found some crab!! So, we bought 2 containers ...

This morning, Patrick went golfing. Since our BE group is not available, we didn't have our meeting. 

I ended up getting the 2 quilts ready for Wednesday. We have our potluck sew days on Wednesday. Which means I needed to be ready with the quilt cut and ready to sew. 

Today, Patrick was up and out the door to the golf course. I got up to get out to the PT appointment. First, I needed to drop a deposit at the bank, then post office. I found out at the bank that my deposit was wrong and needed to go back. That had to wait till after PT. 

I got some money for Colleen to do the fabric sale tomorrow at the grange. Hopefully we can make some good money. It's all the holiday fabrics that we have. Trouble is, we are in the kitchen area, so hope people ...

 Today, we were up earlier than usual to get moving. We headed to New Balance shoes at the outlet stores. I needed to get new shoes to see if that was part of my problem with not healing on my ankle. I ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes because there was a sale on the shoes, plus buy one get one. I ended up with 2 pairs of shoes for $116. which is about what I paid for my Skeeters a couple years ago. I know, we are not supposed to wear the same shoes for 2 or 3 ...

Jo Pope arrived around 10:15 am. We took a good hour and a half to find fabric for her next 2 quilts. She also picked up 2 batting and backing for the 2 she finished. She does an awesome job!! I love her quilts and they are all done by hand. 

After she left, I headed to the post office to drop off 2 certificates. Then I headed to PT but stopped at moms on the way. I ...

This morning, I really didn't do much. I was waiting till it was time to leave for the museum. We had a presentation for veterans today. 

Debbie and I arrived first, and the others where right behind us. I was surprised that so many of the group arrived early. This group of ours is so wonderful! They work well together, and things are going so smoothly. I can't believe how nice it is to do these presentations without drama!

 This morning, I was getting a few things done before everyone started to show up. We had 7 of us today which is a good sign for Sew Days. 

I had everything planned out and cut. Then I had everyone make sure they had the same 1/4" seam allowance guide. Once we had that down, I had them get started on the 2 quilts that I was ready to have done. We worked on the Irish Chain and a 9-patch quilt.  Today, I had my physical therapy appointment. I was ready to go. Plus, I needed to stop at the post office to send out a couple packages. I also had to get some stamps. 

Once that was done, I headed to Centralia for my physical therapy. I was able to feel a little better afterwards. 

Got home around 12:30 pm. Then Patrick and I went to the casino. Today's gift was sheets. That's why Patrick wanted to go. He wanted to get the sheets. lol We stayed and played. We actually didn't do bad. We came ...

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I went to the grange to meet up with my friends for embroidery. I had to stop at Safeway first, then Phils, then post office and last the PUD building. I put the bill in the box for overnight, thinking it was a holiday for them. The people behind me walked right in! Guess they were open today. Oh, well they will get the bill tomorrow then. Now worries.

Today, I was up earlier than usual. I wanted to participate in the war game this morning. I did for a while then went with Debbie to get "coffee." We chatted about the Mariner's game and a few other things. Not sure what's going on with the museum, but I do know the funding has been lost. 

Came back home and headed downstairs. I needed to get ready for the sew days on Wednesday and had to pick a few things up.

 Today, I got ready for the presentation. Debbie called and needed a ride, so I picked her up. Then we went to Dutch Brothers for our drinks. Headed to the museum and it looked like there was stuff going on. We didn't mess with the "drama" as we were there for the veterans. 

Marilyn came down from Tacoma to help honor our veterans. She helped present the quilts. It was awesome.
